'THE QUEST: Everest VR' is a one-of-a-kind “real-life” Virtual Reality documentary to climb and reveal the most legendary mountain on earth, Mt. Everest, in stunning 360 degree video!

It is the only real-life Virtual Reality experience that puts you directly in the boots with filmmaker and explorer, Alex Harz, on a 52 day quest to the Top of the World (29,032 feet / 8849 meters). It is the closest thing to being on Everest without all the rigorous training, planning and high risk needed to physically step foot on the mountain!

The film begins in the South Asian capital city of Kathmandu, Nepal, before departing to the Himalayan village of Lukla nestled 9400 feet / 2865 meters up in the majestic Khumbu Valley. Though there are no roads that lead to Lukla, this is where we begin our spectacular 9 day trek to Everest Base Camp. Along the way you are fully immersed in the breathtaking scenery and captivating culture of the Sherpa people who call the Khumbu Valley home.

After arriving at the base of the most iconic peak in the world, we will experience what it takes to climb + survive for 43 more grueling days at 17,500 feet / 5334 meters and above as we continue our epic quest upward to try to reach the daunting 29,032 foot / 8849 meter Summit of Planet Earth.
